The market men, who have been out of sight for weeks during the m- clement weather, have put in an appear- ance and the usual display of flowermg plants made the vicinity of Eutaw and Lexington streets gay and fragrant, but they have retired again to their retreats. On Sunday we had the snow of the win- ter, something like eight inches falling, rendering locomotion impossible, delay-. them, but so far no considerable losses have been reported. NOTES. The Florists' Exchange has added a new branch to its business and will hereafter sell plants as well as cut flow- ers. Its basement floor is light and airy and well adapted to this use and doubt- less a considerable traffic will be built up. The new quarters of the exchange seem to invite trade, the amount of sales for February, as for every previous month since their occupancy, showing a very handsome increase over last year s figures. Quite a number of the representatives of the trade here will be in attendance at the rose show this week in Washington. S. B. EXHIBITION OF THE ST.
