The following named Cummingses, and families, are foundamong the earliest records, but their connection with Isaac doesnot appear, although they lived at, or about, the same time. Edward Comins, b. 1607, shipped for Virginia in the Assur-ance, in 1635, and settled in Jamestown, Virginia. Richard Cummings was an early settler in Biddeford, Me. Hemarried, before 1647, Eleanor Bonython, dau. of Capt. RichardBonython, and after the death of her father they removed to Sacoand settled near Little River. He was probably of Scotch descent. His name appears on therecords until 167:5. He died in Scarborough in 1676, leaving ason, Thomas, one of the administrators of his fathers estate; therewas also a daughter, named Elizabeth, who became the wife ofher cousin, John Foxwell, son of Richard Foxwell and Winni-fred Bonython, and
