Mr. Curtis Galloway made good use ofthe limited advantages for education whichcame to him in his youth, his diligence andabilities enabling him to make good with zeal into the pursuits con-nected with agriculture in Utah, when hewas twenty-nine years of age he commencedhis individual life as a farmer. In1894, having an advantageous opportunity,Mr. Galloway disposed of his homestead andpurchased the place of fifty-eight acres atShelley, where he continued to be diligentlyemployed in diversified farming until hisdeath, and acquired a competency, beingknown amongst the people as possessing asterling integrity, a most courteous kindnessand a great consideration for others, com-bined with untiring energy, uncompromisinghonest}^ and religious devotion, and at thetime of his dea
