Ron and Ruthie Bzdewka, winners of the Food Network's Cupcake Wars reality television program, unveil their giant cupcake, entitled "The Mayor" at the grand opening of the House of Cupcakes in the Greenwich Village neighborhood of New York on Thursday, May 9, 2013. Following Mayor Michael Bloomberg's failed ban on sugary drinks this cupcake, weighing 25 pounds and containing 35,800 calories uses 12 pounds of sugar, 5 pounds of butter and a prodigious amount of other tasty ingredients. The bakery offers 35 varieties of cupcakes as well coffee and other cakes, cookies and beverages. Additional House of Cupcakes locations are scheduled to open in the Bronx and in East Brunswick, NJ.
