Ramipril tablets. Ramipril is one of a class of drugs called ACE inhibitors that are used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and congestive heart failure. They work by inhibiting the production of angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), relaxing muscle tissue around small arteries and allowing a more free flow of blood. This in turn leads to lower blood pressure.
