The girls are speechless and the situation is saved by clumsyJim knocking a book on the floor, containing some pictures of sylph-like forms. Jack and Dickthen wax eloquent in favor of the anti-slim people of the pictures. The kind words fall soothinglyupon the ears of the sweets-deprived girls and they do not resist the tempting boxes of chocolatespromptly proffered by the boys.
