Kadcyla breast cancer drug. Person holding a bottle containing the anti-cancer drug trastuzumab emtansine, marketed under the name Kadcyla, in powder form for intravenous infusion. This drug is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) with an antibody linked to a drug that kills the cancer cells targeted by the antibody. In this case, the conjugate is of trastuzumab (Herceptin) linked to the cytotoxic chemical mertansine (DM1). Herceptin targets the HER2 receptor in breast cancer.
