Natural history museum. Reconstructed skeleton of an Iguanodon bernissartensis dinosaur in the National Museum of Natural History (MNHN), Paris, France. This large ornithopod is estimated to have weighed about 3 tonnes on average, and measured about 10 metres long as an adult. It existed around 130-112 million years ago in Asia, Europe and North America, between the Barremian and Aptian ages of the Lower Cretaceous period (around 146-100 million years ago).
