North Pennine moorland near Blanchland and Rookhope


One of two chimneys adjacent to Sikehead Dam which lies below Bolts Law on the Durham Moors in the Northern Pennines near Blanchland, Rookhope and Stanhope. These chimneys are relics of the now defunct lead mining industry which was once a major employer in the remote northern Pennines. The nearest large town is Consett,
