The Montrose Greenhouses are just completing the installation of their new steam boilers and steam mains. They now are cutting a nice new crop of roses. S. J. Goddard and W. A. Nicholson, of Framingham, are among the recent purchasers of new autos. W. N. Craig. MAMABONECK, N. Y. Club Outing. The annual outing of the Westchester and Fairfield Horticultural Society was held at Edwards' Rye Beach hotel Au- gust 11. A large number of the mem- bers were present, with their families and friends, and all had an enjoyable time. The trade was well represented by a strong delegation of seedsmen and nurserymen or their representatives. An excellent shore dinner was served and was appreciated by all who partook. A feature of the sports was the old-fash- ioned game of "breaking the flower pots," which caused a great deal of merriment and many a hearty laugh. The sky was overcast, which made con- ditions just right for the more strenu- ous athletic sports. The winners of the various events were as followg:.
