Space Hijackers conduct a mock auction of a 'tank' outside the London Arms Fair in protest against the arms trade.

The Space Hijackers are activists who create spectacles of various kinds as a form of political protest. To protest against an arms fair in London they bought a tank to take there to auction. Police stopped their tank immediately outside the yard where it was kept, but they hired an armoured personnel carrier to travel to the arms fair. Denied entrance, they staged a party and mock auction of the tank outside the main gate, as well as demonstrating to people leaving the arms fair. 'Model' sits on tank in typical motor-show tradition.
