View E of Nant Lead Mine steam pumping engine house & its chimney, Denbighshire, Wales, UK, built 1841 of local limestone blocks. It was claimed that "over £1,000,000 of lead was extracted from the lode while crossing a small field 50ft on the course of the lode." Brunner Mond Company operated several local mines up to c 1907 when cheap imports caused the price of lead to fall & the mines became uneconomic.
