The apple blossom is abundant this Spring in the cider orchards in Somerset close to Glastonbury Tor. Early indications are of a bounty of blossom brought on by the recent warm weather during April. Bees and other flying insects have been pollinating in great numbers each bloom and despite recent sharp frosts the flowers have remained. The orchards are under the management of a local cider producer called 'The Orchard Pig' who utilises the abundance of apples in the juices and unique cider varieties.
