Fiona Armstrong From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Fiona Armstrong (born 28 November 1956) is a British newsreader, currently one of the main anchors on ITV Border's flagship news programme Lookaround. Armstrong joined Border Television in 1983 as a reporter before becoming a regular newsreader/presenter. Then in 1987, she switched to ITN as a presenter on News at Ten, News at 545 (later News at 540) and other bulletins. In 1993, she was one of the launch team on the British TV breakfast station GMTV but left after only a few months. Fiona later rejoined Border and became the main anchor of Lookaround as well as a presenter/producer on a number of regional programmes for the station such as River Journeys
