The Termites are in the habit of stuffine Avith thismaterial any cavities in the wood, no matter whether alread}^existent as , in hollow bamboo-poles, or made by the Termitesthemselves. Small tunnels traverse the frequently large masses ofmud piled up in the holes; here and there widened chambers areconstructed where usually a great many Termites may be foundtogether.
