Ausführlich ist auch die Beschreibung, welche M. L. G. de Koninck von Cladochonus gegeben hat"). Seine Diagnose des Genus ist wie folgt: âPolypier compose de polypierites non rampants, se multipliant par gemmation laterale, ayant la forme d'un cornet muni d'un pedicule cylindrique de longueur variable, et entoures dune forte epitheque. CaHce circulaire assez profond, ä surface interne garnie de faible stries cloisonnaires. Plancher nul". C
