Turner is sending in magnifi- cent roses now, his September Morn, Hoosier Beauty, Prima Donna and others being the equal of anything seen in this market. Mr. Turner has recovered suf- ficiently from his recent injury to be able to drive the big car again. Darling's Flower Shop has been show- ing some of the finest cyclamens ever seen on the Pacific coast. They are magnificent plants in every way and are marvels of cultural skill. H. E. Bichards. SEATTLE, WASH. The Market. Business continues to improve. There is no overabundance of stock of any kind and in some items there is a short- age. Carnations are selling about the best of any cut flowers at present, and as the supply is none too plentiful there are none left over from each day's sales. Eoses also are scarce; there are hardly enough to go around. Daffodils, tulips and hyacinths sell well at good prices. There does not appear to be too much bulbous stock in the market this year.* Violets now are of excellent quality and the demand for them is good. Many be- gonias, cyclamens and primulas are com- ing to hand and their sales are moder- ately good. Varioiis Notes. A visit to the conservatories in Vol- unteer park is now particularly inter- esting to florists. Jacob Unlauff, the superintendent in charge, has developed a fine strain of cyclamen plants, and the plants now on display as a result of his selection of seed are the admiration of all visito
