PACIFIC OCEAN (July 29, 2017) Sailors and Marines aboard the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) move cargo from the ship’s flight deck elevator into storerooms during a replenishment-at-sea with the dry cargo/ammunition ship USNS Wally Schirra (T-AKE 8). America, part of the America Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Asia Pacific region to strengthen partnerships and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
