Whilst it is fairly common to see signs telling owners to keep thie dogs under control near livestock it's rare to see a sign informing them of the dangers of tape worms carried by their pets towards sheep. This part of Devon is sheep and cattle country and the sign implies that the landowner may have had direct experience of dogs and tape worms transferred from dods to sheep.
