All Enchantress varieties were in full crop and of the best quality. Ward, Matchless and Beacon always sell well in this market and there was a big supply all the week. Sweet peas showed a shortage due to the warm weather the last ten days. The demand was large for any kind of peas. Violets, too, were short and there was a big demand. Bulbous stock dragged some, but the best sold well. Easter lilies were in demand all the week. The supply was not too large at any of the wholesale liouses. Callas also sold well. Tulips and hyacinths did not clean up. Valley was short of the demand. From what I learn from the trade, Easter must go down as one of the best the local florists ever have experienced. Various Notes. George Waldbart said there was an increased demand for corsage bouquets for the Easter parade. C. E. Schoenle was greatly handi- cajtped in delivering Easter orders, as both of his machines were run into and put out of commission Saturday. The Shackelford Nursery Co. has started cutting a lot of outdoor jonquils. George Wagner, who, until recently, was with Grimm & Gorly, ha? left for California. He will locate in Los An- geles and open a flower shop. The Eetail Florists' Association will hold its regular monthly meeting at the Mission Inn Garden April 16. A re- view of the Easter business will be a feature of the meeting.
