The cost of these roads would be insignificantin comparison with the advantages they would bring to Pahang,and in a lesser degree to Johor and Sglangor ; but if it werepossible to get the work done under the present regime, it maybe doubted whether those who now direct the affairs of Pahangwould be able to utilize their opportunities for the best interestsof the State.
