SAN CLEMENTE ISLAND, California (Oct. 12, 2022) An MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, assigned to the “Eightballers” of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 8, prepares to takeoff during combat search-and-rescue (CSAR) training onboard San Clemente Island. Squadrons assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Wing Pacific (HSCWP), Marine Air Group (MAG) 39 and 26th Weapons Squadron conducted maritime CSAR training aimed at improving CSAR capabilities during Helicopter Sea Combat Weapons School Pacific’s (HSCWSP) exercise PHOENIX RESCUE 23-1.
