Schynige Platte Bernese Oberland Switzerland train in the mountains
The Schynige Platte Railway was opened on 14th June 1893. It is a small guage rack railway system, taking passengers up the valley for a good view of the peaks of the Bernese Oberland. The summit station on Schynige Platte is at 1967 metres.
