The droopingr varieties are especially adapted to beautify small g-rounds. As sins'le specimens on the lawn they are unique and handsome, and require only to be better known in order to be extensively planted. Now that the Kilmarnock Weeping' Willow is no long-er rare, its place may well be filled with the Japan Weeping- Cherry, which is equally ornamental, and is unquestionably destined to become just as popular. The flowers are so numerous as to conceal the branches, and present to the eye nothing but a mass of bloom, each flower resembling a miniature rose.
