The Marines and Sailors of Marine Aircraft Group 24 partnered with Marine Corps Community Services Hawaii for the race, and a portion of the event’s net profits went to the unit. The race was open to the public, and awards were given to the top three finishers of each age category. Marine Corps Community Services Hawaii’s mission is to contribute to the readiness and retention of Marines, Sailors and family members aboard MCB Hawaii by providing fitness and recreation programs like the flightline run, Marine and family programs and business activities in garrison and deployed environments.
