Bischofsreut is a Waldhufendorf at 1000 m aslm in the Bavarian Forest. Founded in the forest the farms cleared a strip of land leading down to the valley. In Bischofsreut there is still traditional farming creating a high biodiversity. Bischofsreu ist alsr Waldhufendorf am Goldenen Steig gegründet. Die Siedler rodeten talwärts einen Streifen Land, der zum Teil heute noch nachhaltig bewirtschaftet wird und sich durch eine hohe Biodiveristät auszeichnet.
