Old Gorhambury House, near St Albans, Hertfordshire, c2000s(?). General view from the south-west of the porch after the completion of repair work. Old Gorhambury House was a very large manor house built in the 1560s for Sir Nicholas Bacon, Lord Keeper of the Great Seal during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I. The Queen visited the house on at least four occasions.
