Macular pucker with lamellar hole, OCT macular cube scan

Ocular coherence tomography (OCT) macular cube scan of a section through the retina of the left eye of a 64 year old male patient showing a macular pucker with lamellar hole (LMH). A macular pucker is scar tissue that has formed on the macula at the centre of the retina. LMH is a defect that goes part-way through the macula leaving outer retinal layers intact.
