An atomized spray of water offers an enormous coolingsurface as compared with either of the foregoing. The in-numerable particles in intimate contact bring the temperatureof the air nearly to that of the water, and this system offersby far the most practical and inexpensive means of coolingon a large scale wherever such cooling is combined withventilation.
