Memorial to the Earl of Antrim KBE, Golden Cap, Dorset.
On the top of Golden Cap is a memorial to the 13th Earl of Antrim, chairman of the National Trust from 1966 until his death in 1977. He was instrumental in the development of the 'Enterprise Neptune' appeal campaign in 1965, when plans were made to purchase and protect unspoiled coastline by the National Trust prior to the arrival of developers. Golden Cap, the highest point in Southern England at 191m (627ft), lies between Bridport and Charmouth, about a mile from Seatown, Dorset.
