They are merely representa- tive of the many thousands of suc- cessful cases handled by the Davey organization in the past generation. Photograph No. 1 shows a tree at theChristian Herald Children's Home, Nyack, N. Y. This tree had a split- ting and badly decayed crotch, requir- ing a filling from the top of the crotch almost down to the ground. Note how the bark has completely healed over the filling in about four years. Photograph No. 2 was taken on the estate of John D. Archbold, Tarrytown, N. Y., and shows a tree with a filling in the side of the trunk. Almost healed over in about six years. Photograph No. 3 illustrates a tree on the estate of the late Julius French,.
