WASHINGTON (April 13, 2020) — The National Transportation Safety Board released Monday the 2020 update to its 2001 report, ‘Survivability of Accidents Involving Part 121 Air Carrier Operations, 1983 Through 2000.” The update discusses data from 1983 through 2017 detailing Part 121 flight activity, accidents and accident severity, occupant survivability and injury outcomes, and occupant survivability in serious accidents.
