Russian opposition politician Aleksei Navalny is met by a crowd of followers at the Yaroslavl railway station in Moscow, Russia, upon his return from the city of Kirov, where he was temporarily released one day after being sentenced on charges of embezzlement to five years in a penal colony and detained. Navalny is a candidate in the Moscow mayoral elections scheduled for the 8th of September 2013. The popular blogger is by far the most popular opponent of Russian president Vladimir Putin.
