The Prince of Wales was the first to adopt it inLondon, and now we learn that the German Emperor hasbrought the resources of his active mind to bear on the sub-ject of lighting carriages, and, as a consequence, the courtcarriages in Berlin now have electric lighting not only by out-side lanterns, but also in the interior, supplied with currentfrom a series of accumulators carried in the vehicles.
