It is today an architectural and industrial monument. Together with the neighboring coking plant Zollverein, the mines of the colliery since 2001 belong to the UNESCO World Heritage. View from the terrace of the Erich Brost Pavilion on the grounds. The Foerderturm is reflected in the window of the pavilion.
