View NW over the roofless ruin of Hafod Fach C17th crogloft (crog-lofft) cottage NW of Hafod y Garreg in the eastern Carneddau, Snowdonia, North Wales, UK, with Craig Cefn Coch to rear. Hafod Fach is one of several permanent dwellings which were established in this upland area, previously occupied seasonally as summer pastures (hafodau), & then subsequently abandoned. Possibly the homestead of a smallholder or artisan rather than a major farmstead. Entrance is on the E side via a raised paved area. A dead rowan tree stands in an animal pen at the south gable of the single-storey cottage.
