Kawah Wurung Bondowoso
In Javanese, the word Wurung means something that fails or doesn't. So that the Wurung Crater has the meaning of a crater that does not form. If the ijen crater is famous for its deadly lake water, then, this Wurung Crater has absolutely no water. Only in the form of a broad earth basin with green grass. This earth-like crater basin is called the ring hill. At the edge of the crater or the empty caldera in the Wurung Crater is surrounded by trees with a circular shape, hence it is called the ring hill.
