Ascoli Piceno's famous Quintana medieval Parade is staged annually in Le Marche Italy on the 1st Sunday in August.(Sant'Emidio) Over 1400 sumptuously clad local people take part in the spectacularly costumed recreation of the 15th century expression of Chivalry and jousting (Giostra del Saracino) contest between the six divisions of the event processes through the major Piazzas of the city accompanied by drums banners palio flags knights squires dames city officials horsemen.
