It is constructed of heavy flint glass, about twelve by twenty- four inches. It is lowered into the water, and some bread crumbs placed inside. The cord by which it is lowered should be buoyed, if the angler is to remain away very long. The galvanized wire trap furnished by Wm. Mills & Son, is another in- genious device.
