The display of curiously wrought electroliers,rare and costly bronzes, masterpieces of the fore-most Italian sculptors and artists of the studios ofParis, Vienna, Berlin and other prominent cities;the delicate gold-inlaid glass ware, products of thebest manufacturers in France, Germany, Belgiumand Austria; the cut glass, the finest achievementsof Hawkes, Libbey, Eggington and Doerflinger, 68 SAINT LOUIS. At different times other companies have beenconsolidated with this house, and in 1905 the presentname Mermod, Jaccard & King Jewelry Companywas taken, with Mr. King as president. The Senior members of the firm having oneby one passed away, it is now to ]\Ir. King and hisassociates, Mr. C. F. Mathey, vice-president andtreasurer and head of the diamond department; M:.R. O. Bolt, secretary and manager of the manufac-turing department; Mr. E. H. Mead, director andbuyer, and Mr. A. C. Stewart, a director, that thisgreat establishment owes its continued success. Visitors to Saint Louis regard J^ccards asone of the show places of the city, and feel thattheir visit is not complete until they have seen thisworld-known jewelry house.
