French emergency service. Baby girl being treated at home by paramedics. She has been convulsing. An intravenous (IV) drip has been set up to administer drugs to the infant. The flow of drugs from the syringe (lower left) through the IV drip line (tube, centre) and into the infant is controlled by a valve (yellow) to ensure the right dose is given. The French medical emergency service is called the Service d'Aide Medicale Urgente (SAMU).
