1748 Tunguzians in their Summer Dressand A Nisovian Tunguzian in his Winter Habit. \Navigantium atque Itinerantium Bibliotheca or, A complete collection of Voyages and Travels, Vol. II., published by John Harris. Harris' Voyages is a compilation of European knowledge of the world in the mid eighteenth century. An earlier version of this image is from 1706 \"Three Years Travels from Moscow over-land to China\" by Evert Ysbrants Ides Ides, (London). Tungusic peoples inhabit Eastern Siberia and are recognized as distinct from Mongols and Turkic peoples. The first European description of a Tungusic people was by the Dutch traveller Isaac Massa in 1612. Such people may have had a role in populating the Americas via the coast and Beiring land bridge, and similarities in dress and features can here be seen."
