He married Clarissa Thompson, daughter ofJoseph Thompson, of Mansfiehl, Conn. Frederick Seymour was educated in the Whitneys PointHigh School, at Yale College in the class of 1881 in theacademic department, and at the Columbia Law was admitted to the bar in September, 1882, from whichtime to the present he has practiced law in the City of NewYork, achieving an enviable distinction in corporation lawand in contested litigation of the greatest moment. He hasalways taken a leading position at the bar, having the en-tire confidence and respect both of the bench and of hisassociates. In April, 1899, dissolving other associations, he, with hisbrother, John S. Seymour, of Washinston and New York,and Eugene M. Harmon, of Cincinnati and New York, organ-ized the law firm of Seymour, Seymour & Harmon, withoffices at 40 Wall Street, New York City. John S. Sey-mours associates
