The cars were built by the Orenstein-Arthur Koppel Company,Koppel, Pa., and are 35 ft. long and 9 ft. wide. The walls androof are of two thicknesses of heavy steel plate with a4 in. space between filled with sand and concrete. At the endsand sides square holes are provided, each flared at the outsideso that firing can be done in any direction.
