Realty 1, Liberty Bonds 10, Peoples Bank 8, Real Estate Mtg 12, German Savings Bank German American 3, Omaha National Bank 1, $43, W. F. Gude's reports as Washing- ton representative, as chairman of the WiUlam R. Smith Memorial Commit- tee, and also as chairman of the Tariff and Legislation Committee, were then read by Mr. Gude. All papers were full and complete, particularly that of tariff and legislation, which referred to im- ports and express companies. Benjamin Hammond, in his paper, reported progress in school garden work. Prof. E. A. White's report on nomenclature was full of suggestions, and his recommendation that S300 be appropriated for the work was passed unanimously. C. W. Ward's report as chairman of the Home Products Committee, was passed to be printed in the record. Washington Representative's Report. It seems but a very short while since I submitted my annual report to you at Houston, Tex. There have been many problems submitted to me dur- ing the past 12 months, some of them very unusual and only affecting one or more individuals of the organization; other matters of vital importance af- fecting, more or less, all of our mem- bers. Many of these matters are han- dled by your Washington representa- tive, to the best of his ability by the liberal use of telephone messages and friends at court, and thus are easily and satisfactorily
