Boats are parked off of Navy Pier before the start of Sunday's America's Cup 2016 racing series in Chicago

The America's Cup is the oldest international sporting trophy and originally awarded to the schooner America in 1851. Rule changes meant that 2016 was the first time races were held on a fresh water body when preliminaries were held in Chicago off of Navy Pier.
