Luca Giordano. Last Supper. 1652–1705. Italy. Pen and iron gall ink, brush and brown wash, over traces of graphite, on ivory laid paper, laid down on ivory wove card In 1692, Charles II summoned Luca Giordano to Spain to paint the ceilings in the Escorial. In 1702 he returned to Naples. This is a copy he made after Agostino Carracci’s painting of the Last Supper, now in the Prado, Madrid.
