James T Farrell, American novelist, c1930s(?). Born in Chicago, James Thomas Farrell (1904-1979) is best remembered for his Studs Lonigan trilogy, a portrayal of life among the Irish-American community of the city's South Side. The novels were published between 1932 and 1935.
