A flower planter from the rosewood set, 1846. Gambs Workshop in St. Petersburg. Bi-coloured rosewood veneer with coloured floral intarsia in cartouches on the sides. Gilded brass fittings, with the Cyrillic monograms "NR" in places. The four feet bear illegible stampings. An inventory label on the bottom, " - Privat-Eigenthum (Personal property) No. 1742" for Vera Konstantinova, Duchess of Württemberg, and Grand Duchess of Russia, and an additional label, presumably the "ON" for Grand Duchess Olga Nikolaevna.
