This portrait came into the possession of the present owner,Mrs. W. E. Verplanck, through her aunt and uncle, Mr. andMrs. Wra. E. Everitt. Mrs. Everitt was a grand-daughter ofGeneral Jacob Brown, former owner of the portrait. Thispicture is still in the possession of a canvas: H. 48L4 inches; W. 36^ inches. Lent by Mr. William E.
